Trauma-Responsive Care Workshop 

This three-hour virtual workshop will increase knowledge and skills to deliver compassionate and effective care that acknowledges and addresses the impact of trauma. It provides tools to create trauma-responsive environments to promote healing in individuals who have experienced trauma. This training is only recommended to those who are seeking hours for CPFS recertification. 

Learning Objectives: 

  1. Describe trauma and how protective factors can mitigate the impact of trauma. 
  2. Discuss the impact an elevated stress response can have on our bodies. 
  3. Discuss how racism and weathering impact health disparities in people of color. 
  4. Identify three techniques to provide a trauma responsive care environment. 

Length of Time: 3-Hours  

Format: Virtual, Instructor-led  

Continuing Education: 2.80 hours of NCPD (CNE) and 2.75 hours of CME are offered.
