Trauma-Responsive Care Workshop
This three-hour virtual workshop will increase knowledge and skills to deliver compassionate and effective care that acknowledges and addresses the impact of trauma. It provides tools to create trauma-responsive environments to promote healing in individuals who have experienced trauma. This training is only recommended to those who are seeking hours for CPFS recertification.
Learning Objectives:
- Describe trauma and how protective factors can mitigate the impact of trauma.
- Discuss the impact an elevated stress response can have on our bodies.
- Discuss how racism and weathering impact health disparities in people of color.
- Identify three techniques to provide a trauma responsive care environment.
Length of Time: 3-Hours
Format: Virtual, Instructor-led
Continuing Education: 2.80 hours of NCPD (CNE) and 2.75 hours of CME are offered.
Cost: $150; we do offer private workshops.
