DESCRIPTION:Trauma-Responsive Care Workshop \nThis three-hour virtual work
 shop will increase knowledge and skills to deliver compassionate and effe
 ctive care that acknowledges and addresses the impact of trauma. It provid
 es tools to create trauma-responsive environments to promote healing in in
 dividuals who have experienced trauma. This training is only recommended t
 o those who are seeking hours for CPFS recertification. \nLearning Object
 ives: \n\n Describe trauma and how protective factors can mitigate the im
 pact of trauma. \n Discuss the impact an elevated stress response can hav
 e on our bodies. \n Discuss how racism and weathering impact health dispa
 rities in people of color. \n Identify three techniques to provide a trau
 ma responsive care environment. \n\nLength of Time: 3-Hours  \nFormat: 
 Virtual\, Instructor-led  \nContinuing Education: 2.80 hours of NCPD (CN
 E) and 2.75 hours of CME are offered. \nCost: $150\; we do offer private 
 workshops.
