The CAM Academy provides training and technical assistance on comprehensive trauma responsive substance use disorder (SUD) treatment. Guided by our principles of dignity and equity, community collaboration, passion, and professionalism, as well as our commitment to prevention, treatment, research, and education we are dedicated with empowering you with the knowledge and tools needed to make a lasting impact.

This three-hour virtual workshop will increase knowledge and skills to deliver compassionate and effective care that acknowledges and addresses the impact of trauma. It provides tools to create trauma-responsive environments to promote healing in individuals who have experienced trauma.

Learning Objectives:
1. Describe trauma and how protective factors can mitigate the impact of trauma.
2. Discuss the impact an elevated stress response can have on our bodies.
3. Discuss how racism and weathering impact health disparities in people of color.
4. Identify three techniques to provide a trauma responsive care environment.

Length of Time: 3-Hours

Continuing Education: 2.80 hours of CNE and CME is offered.

Cost: $150 (waived for Denver Health employees), we do offer private workshops.
