Colorado Peer and Family Specialist (CPFS) and the Colorado Certified Prevention Specialist (CCPS) credential applications may be affected by changes to Certemy. Please read these two updates carefully in case they apply to you.
1) Colorado Providers Association (COPA) will soon begin archiving inactive applications and deleting user accounts in our Certemy credentialing system.
Any application with no activity for four years or more (dated July 2, 2021 or earlier) will be archived and removed from your account. If this applies to you and you only have the inactive application on file, your user account will also be deleted.
What you need to do:
To complete your application or download any certificates, receipts, or documentation for your records, please do so before August 8, 2025.
To log into your account:
2) The Certemy application portal is implementing a new version on September 1, 2025, and may affect final deadlines for application completion.

- Your recertification(s) expires prior to September 1, 2025.
Applications will remain in the old version if:
- Your initial CPFS and/or CCPS application is just waiting on completion of the exam step.
- Your recertification in the older versions expires after September 1, 2025. It will remain in the old version until your current recertification is complete.
FINAL DEADLINES for applications to be completed and ready for committee review in the old version:
- CCPS (Prevention): August 22, 2025 5:00PM (MT)
- CPFS (Peer and Family): August 25, 2025 5:00PM (MT)
