DESCRIPTION:The CAM Academy provides training and technical assistance on c
 omprehensive trauma responsive substance use disorder (SUD) treatment. Gui
 ded by our principles of dignity and equity\, community collaboration\, pa
 ssion\, and professionalism\, as well as our commitment to prevention\, tr
 eatment\, research\, and education we are dedicated with empowering you wi
 th the knowledge and tools needed to make a lasting impact.\nThis three-ho
 ur virtual workshop will increase knowledge and skills to deliver compassi
 onate and effective care that acknowledges and addresses the impact of tra
 uma. It provides tools to create trauma-responsive environments to promote
  healing in individuals who have experienced trauma.\nLearning Objectives:
 \n1. Describe trauma and how protective factors can mitigate the impact of
  trauma.\n2. Discuss the impact an elevated stress response can have on ou
 r bodies.\n3. Discuss how racism and weathering impact health disparities 
 in people of color.\n4. Identify three techniques to provide a trauma resp
 onsive care environment.\nLength of Time: 3-Hours\nFormat: Instructor-led\
 , Virtual\nContinuing Education: 2.80 hours of CNE and CME is offered.\nCo
