 /\n\nRecovery coaching as a peer-to-peer recovery support services has gro
 wn exponentially over the past few years. The issue of ethical considerati
 ons has been discussed in many circles yet formal training has been lackin
 g for recovery coaches. This 16 hour training addresses this critical need
 . Based on the widely used Ethical Guidelines for the Delivery of Peer-bas
 ed Recovery Support Services by William White and PRO-ACT (2007)\, we desi
 gned this training to help coaches\, and anyone else working in the peer r
 ole\, to understand how critical it is to be ethically responsible. Using 
 presentations\, small group work\, and role play to address many areas inc
 luding: defining the coaching service role and functions\, coaching standa
 rds\, issues of vulnerability\, ethical decision making\, performance enha
 ncement and legal issues. This year we have added an additional half day o
 f training\, to allow for more opportunities to practice using relevant sc
 enarios coaches may face on a daily basis.\nParticipants who complete this
  training will:\n\n 	Understand what ethics are and why ethics are so impo
 rtant when performing\n 	Recovery Coach Services\n 	Learn how to stay in y
 our lane as a recovery coach\n 	Understand the decision making process\n 	
 Develop guidelines for making ethical decisions\n 	Apply the new learning 
 to your every day work as a RC\n
