 Coach Academy is a 5-day intensive training academy designed to provide in
 dividuals with an understanding of both the art and science of Recovery Co
 aching. The CCAR Recovery Coach Academy prepares participants to guide and
  mentor others in recovery from an addiction to alcohol and or other drugs
 . By focusing on the goals of the individuals being served\, participants 
 will learn the key fundamentals of this rewarding work\, which CCAR had id
 entified as actively listening\, asking really good questions\, and treati
 ng people as their own best resource\, all while discovering and managing 
 our own stuff.\n* Virtual Training via Zoom. Computer and internet connect
 ion required.\nCCAR Recovery Coach Academy participants will:\n· Describe
  Recovery Coach role and functions\n· List the components\, core values a
 nd guiding principles of recovery\n· Build skills to enhance relationship
 s\n· Explore many dimensions of recovery and recovery coaching\n· Discov
 er attitudes about self-disclosure and sharing your story\n· Understand t
 he stages of recovery\n· Describe the stages of change and their applicat
 ions\n· Increase their awareness of culture\, power and privilege\n· Add
 ress ethical and boundaries issues\n· Experience recovery wellness planni
 ng\n· Practice newly acquired skills\nThis training provides 30 CEs.\nCla
