 )
DESCRIPTION:CCAR Hazelbrook Peer Coach Academy - Ethical Considerations for
Recovery Coaches 7/24/26 &amp\; 7/25/26 3 pm to 9 pm virtual thru Zoom.
(16 ceu)\nDescription\n2 day training that addresses the real-world ethic
al challenges faced by recovery coaches and peer-based support professiona
ls. This CCAR Training ethics course equips participants with practical sk
ills\, a clear ethical framework\, and the confidence to navigate complex
situations with professionalism and care.\nEthical considerations provide
the foundation for building trust\, maintaining integrity\, and ensuring s
afety for both coaches and those they serve. Built upon the Ethical Guidel
ines for the Delivery of Peer-based Recovery Support Services\, developed
by William White and PRO-ACT (2007)\, and is designed to translate theory
into practice.\nThroughout the training\, participants explore how to main
tain healthy boundaries\, recognize ethical warning signs\, and make sound
decisions in emotionally complex environments. Transitioning from good in
tentions to ethical action requires knowledge\, structure\, and continued
learning—which this CCAR Training ethics course provides.\nObjectives\nC

nsibilities of a recovery coach and how to clearly define your role in sup
port relationships. Ethical Decision-Making Tools: Gain hands-on tools to
analyze\, assess\, and respond to ethical dilemmas using structured decisi
on-making processes. Understanding Vulnerability and Boundaries: Discover
how to navigate client vulnerabilities and manage your own boundaries to p

and how ethical behavior intersects with legal requirements\, confidential
ity\, and professional conduct. Applied Learning: Practice what you learn
 through real-world scenarios\, role-playing exercises\, and group discussi
